Kody Robison

Kody Robison, SoCal Weightlifting’s very first athlete, has a very impressive list of athletic achievements as a Hammerthrower. Getting his degree in Human Development and competing for Long Beach State, Kody concluded his 4-year career with a 2015 and 2016 Big West title in men’s hammerthrow. He is a 3-time NCAA West Preliminary Qualifier and 5-time All-Big West Performer with the fourth best Hammerthrow in school history as well as third all-time in the weight throw. Kody is in the Long Beach State Hall of Fame with the Todd Hart Courage Award.

In 2014, Kody came to Chris, looking to get stronger for his throwing career and has been a core part of SoCal Weightlifting ever since. He has competed for SoCal at multiple national events, with his best 135/174/309 as a 96kg in 2019. Not only does Kody coach weightlifting, but he also coaches his SoCal Throws athletes in the indoor throwing ring in our gym. He manages all our events and ensures you get killer swag and have a ton of fun at our weightlifting meets.

Kody has his USAW L1 and is also an instructor and Throws Coach at Mt. Sac College in Walnut, CA.
